Refuse to own stocks in war makers. Encourage others to do the same, including union representatives, who can help ensure pensions are not invested in war.
Lobby elected officials to not continue awarding tax dollars to weapons companies. For every one job in the weapons industry, progressive economists estimate three jobs would exist for social services, education and for domestic and international infrastructure and humanitarian works.( Economic Conversion Project)
Maintain a continued presence at weapons makers’ offices and factories. Continue to supply updated material with viable alternatives for workers and community members.
Take part in nonviolent actions- shareholders meetings, public spaces and in view and cooperation with media sources are possible ways to get word out.
Do not let these corporations ’sponsor’ programs in your community that are designed to ignore the consequence of the weapons they produce and their culpability for them.
