From Voices in the Wilderness UK
Despite the so-called ‘peace plan’ ending the siege of Najaf in August, occupation forces continue to kill large numbers of Iraqis across the country. However all the indications are that much worse is to come. In particular, senior US officials - from both the military and the government - have repeatedly indicated that a large-scale assault on Iraqi cities such as Ramadi and Fallujah is likely once the 2 November US Presidential elections are out of the way (see Voices briefing “Four Months” for more info).
Those of us in the peace and anti-war movements need to be making our contingency plans NOW. If and when your group formulates such a plan please e-mail us here with the details so that we can help to publicise them.
