The peace teams from England, America and Germany continue to speak loudly for peace, to stop the embargo and to stop all the war speaking from America against Iraq.  At the Shah-bander Cafe and culture center for arts the American poet Ted Sexauer read poems about his experience in the American Vietnamese war and it’s kind of his curriculum vitae.

It’s a picture of humanity feeling that denies war and calls for peace.  The poet stand and his translation Hussein Hasan to translate the poems directly.

The poet Ted Sexauer was born in 1946 and lived in the south west of Washington state, and he had medical training in the U.S. Army Special Forces.

He worked for 18 months in Viet Nam.  Doctor for pilots [Flight Medic] with the group 571 (first aid helicopters) from April 1969 til April 1970; also he was doctor in the airteam [173d Airborne Brigade, May-November ‘70].  He got baccalaureate in history from California College [U.C. Berkeley] in 1975.  In 2000 behave poem named “mercy lived inside the wires”.

Ted Sexauer said in one of his poems “father-san, Grandfather, Aonk/ I stand beside your open well/ there you are kind smiling for some Armed strangers.”  In Ted Sexauer’s words there appear a clear talking about refusing the war and prefering peace. and he don’t want to let the strangers to drink the cold sweet water with red coffee cups.  In his poem to Tet the newmoon year that he wrote in LanCo village in Vietnam, Ted said “this is the poem that will save my life, that is the line that will recover me, this word one word…” All his poems are memories about the war pain specially he lived in it in Viet Nam—“Something happened I don’t know how to say that.  Something happened inside my head.  I talked with person psychological scientist many years passed and I speak with persons like him maybe was this arrangement is that not that evening in his tick of my heart.  To work for not to be afraid – you have to bring the love to your life, always.  And this is the only medicine against fearful.”

And in the end answer Ted about the people questions.
