Thirteen members of Voices in The Wilderness “Iraq Peace Team” are across the street at the Al Fanar Hotel. They have been in Baghdad for the entire 24 days of the war. They have been visiting HOSPITALS, ORPHANAGES, MARKETPLACES, AND IRAQI FAMILIES on a daily basis.

They are now visiting with US TROOPS at the hotel talking about their “NON-EMBEDDED” eyewitness reports about the war and the reasons Voices has had a presence in Iraq for over 8 years.
  • They have had relationships with Iraqi families for days, weeks and years.
  • They were eyewitnesses to the Palestine Hotel attack by a US armed carrier.
  • They are doctors, mental health professionals, authors, Congressional Medal of Honor winner, and Nobel Peace Prize nominee.
  • They are from Canada, United States, South Korea and Australia.

Voices in The Wilderness' 13 Iraq Peace Team members are continuing independent reporting from downtown locations in Baghdad. They remain to offer any help they can give to all peoples struggling to survive through invasion and occupation.
